Paige's 6 Month Professional Photos

Today we took Paige to get her six month professional pics. She did well considering it was nap time and the photographer was insistent upon sitting tired, wobbly Paige near hard objects. It took a couple of tumbles before he figured it out and offered a chair. "Normally at six months babies can sit up," he said. Really?! Thanks for that tidbit.

Anyway, I uploaded the photos from our disk and flagged the ones that we chose. Keep in mind, they aren't cropped as they will be on the prints. Enjoy!

Sitting Up

Just a few pictures of Paige sitting on her own. She sits well in the "tripod" pose and is making progress doing it without support (although padding is necessary).

Easter & Nana & Papa Visit

Nana and Papa came to visit for the Easter weekend. We had a great time although the rain kept us inside most of the time. They did a great job of wearing out Paige with all of their attention. It was so nice to have them here!

The Easter Bunny paid Paige a visit and left her with a basket as big as she is! What fun the new books and toys will be! After Easter mass, our friends joined us for dinner at our place. Paige had a good time with Addison and Ella and all three girls looked beautiful in their Sunday best!

Eating My Veggies

Paige has broadened her repertoire of foods to include veggies. She started with squash and somehow ended up with a very French-looking mustache. Paige also likes peas and sweet potatoes. What Drew and I don't like is the surprises in her diaper as a result of these solid foods. Now I understand why everyone complains about all of the laundry. If it isn't the actual foods that stain, it's what comes out the other end. Maybe some of the fruits will be a little less bright in color!

Mmm...Cereal

We celebrated Paige's six month birthday with a bit of rice cereal. She did surprisingly well eating from the spoon and seemed to like the taste. How strange it is to see her sitting in a high chair. What a big girl she's becoming!

The Easter Bunny

Paige and her friend, Ellie, had a playdate at the mall today. We did a little shopping but the highlight was their visit with the Easter Bunny. Both girls did great, even though they were a little unsure of their new furry friend. Paige, as usual, wanted to stuff her fist in her mouth but we did catch a small smile on camera. I caught a few more once we returned home.

Tomorrow is our big six month visit to the doctor. More to come soon!

6 Months!

Time is flying by and Paige is doing great. She's slept through the night a couple of times but isn't quite consistent with it yet. At least we can see a light at the end of the tunnel! She is also learning to sit up and while she can't do it on her own, she is getting stronger every day. EVERYTHING goes into the mouth and I'm guessing this is still just her way of exploring since I can't see or feel any teeth yet. It really is so much fun to watch her learn; she absorbs things like a sponge.

Paige had a clean bill of health at the doctor's appointment today. She weighed only 13lbs 10oz, which is still just in the 10-25th percentile, where she's been camped out pretty much since she was born. Her height was 24 3/4", in the 25-50th percentile (also where she's been the past few visits). I told the doctor that I was a little concerned that she wasn't packing on the pounds quickly but he isn't worried at all. He said that she's always been on the small side and since she's been consistently in the same ranges, she's just following her own growth curve. Now that we can start cereal and other solids, hopefully it will begin to pick up a bit.

Despite the vaccinations, she was in a pretty good mood for our photoshoot, holding hands with her buddy, Little Bear. More pictures at the Shutterfly site. Enjoy!www.hamfamilyphoto.shutterfly.com
