Take Me Out to the Ball Game

A few weeks ago, we decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and attend an evening NWA Naturals game with the girls.  It happened to be Scout night so the only tickets we were able to get were in the grass, which worked out well for us.  Paige had a great time eating nachos, cotton candy, and topping it off with ice cream later.  It's a wonder she wasn't awake all night!  We all enjoyed the fireworks at the end of the game too.  Here are a couple of quick photos at the night.

Drew's 36th Birthday

Drew celebrated his 36th (!) birthday on April 19th.  For the third year in a row, he was out of town on business on his actual birthday, this time in Las Vegas.  I'm starting to wonder if he purposefully plans trips out of town so that he can live it up without us.

After he returned the next day, we celebrated at home.  Paige and I had fun decorating for Daddy with balloons and a banner.  Paige tried so hard to blow up the balloons but they usually just ended up being slobbered on before she handed them to me to complete the task.  Doug and Cole joined us for homemade lasagna and a malt ice cream cake I found on Pinterest.  It was delicious, if I do say so myself!  Here are a few photos from the evening.

Happy Birthday Drew!

Paige is 3 and a HALF!

On April 3rd, Paige celebrated her half birthday.  I catch myself wondering some days when she got to be so big.  I just can't get over how quickly time flies with her around.  She's one smart little cookie, which can sometimes be bad news for us.  Three has been definitely more difficult than two just because she's constantly testing her limits and exerting her independence.

Paige is still very much a Daddy's girl.  She's his biggest fan and the feeling is mutual.  Another thing that hasn't changed are her sleep habits.  She still fights sleep and often wakes up during the night.  At this point, we're pretty much over it and it's just a part of who she is.

Paige's imagination is at an all time high right now.  She loves to pretend she's a doctor, school teacher, gymnastics coach, dentist, and mommy.  She insists on switching roles with me so that she can be the mommy while I'm the "Paigey" and then instructs me to take a nap.  What a wonderful little game!

I'm so proud of what a sweet, caring little girl she's become.  We are so lucky to have her!

Funny girl.

Here she was on her 3rd birthday, six months ago.

Watering the flowers.

It's raining!  Apparently, just not pants.

Paige had gift cards and money that her grandparents had given her for Easter so we went to Target and she picked this princess scooter.  She was so proud!

Two Tiger Fans

Paige and Margo were all set to cheer on Mizzou in the NCAA tournament, unfortunately, they didn't get very far.  I tried to get some pictures of them in their gear but it's tough to get them both looking in the same direction, let alone smile.  These are the best.  Afterward, Paige wanted to read Margo a book and I was able to get a cute video of the two of them.

Later that day, Paige and Cole were having a great time playing cowboy/cowgirl.  They found a couple of hats and some of Paige's winter boots to complete the look.

Margo is 4 Months Old

Ugh!  I'm over a month behind so I'm going to make the next couple of posts short and sweet in an effort to catch up.  On April 13, Margo was four months old.  She had a four month visit to the doctor and he said he couldn't be more pleased with her development.  She weighed 13 lbs and was 24 in long.  While her weight gain has slowed, she's still around the 25th percentile.  Margo has rolled a couple of times from her belly to her back but not on a consistent basis yet.  Luckily for us, she is a MUCH better sleeper than her big sis and is sleeping through the night about three or four nights of the week.  Most importantly, we just can't get enough of her big smiles!

Happy girl!

Behind the scenes; Paige trying to get Margo to smile for the camera.

Watching a little TV together.

Margo was so excited to sit in her highchair for the first time, even if it didn't result in any food.

Sporting the Baby Ham bath towel from the Maxey's.

Paige wanted to get in on the pictures.

Margo's typical position while sleeping; sucking on the middle two fingers on her left hand while covering it with her right hand.  Simply precious!

Another view of Margo and her fingers, this time she's just beginning to get sleepy so the right hand isn't involved yet.

We tried out the exerscauser for the first time and based on the look on Margo's face, it was a little overwhelming!

Easter 2012

We had a busy Easter season, attending three egg hunts this year.  The first was a hunt sponsored by Hershey's.  There were so many people there I was worried Paige was going to get trampled and it was an extremely hot day so unfortunately, the chocolate inside the eggs didn't make it.  The Easter Bunny was there and after much thought, Paige decided she wanted to say.  We stood in line (again, it's 85 degrees) but when it was our turn, Paige bolted in the opposite direction, which was a sea of strangers.  Guess she's still not a fan.

We also went to a helicopter egg drop at a local church.  It was fun to see the helicopter drop the eggs on the field but like the first, there were so many people that Paige only ended up with a couple eggs.  Of course, we forgot to get pictures of the actual helicopter.

On Easter Sunday, Paige was excited to see that the Easter Bunny hadn't forgotten her, despite her feelings toward him.  He left a few eggs for her to find in our house and we had a quick breakfast before heading to church.  After church, we attended the neighborhood egg hunt.  This was a much smaller group and more Paige's speed.  Later that afternoon, we went to the Iten's for a delicious Easter dinner.

Margo wore the same Easter dress as Paige did three years ago.  Paige is below.  Crazy how similar they look!

Big Sis, Little Sis

I bought Paige and Margo matching Big Sis, Little Sis shirts to wear once Margo was born.  Margo was quickly outgrowing hers so I figured I had better get some photos of the two of them together.  These are about a month old but I'm a little behind.  Here are a few pictures.  More on our gallery.  http://gallery.me.com/jessicaleeham#101759

We still can't get over how much Margo looks like Paige.   You can tell how small Margo's outfit was getting,  she has quite the muffin top!

I love this one.  Paige is so sweet to her sister and just look at Margo's chubby cheeks!

Happy girls!

Paige wanted to read to Margo.  I hope this sisterly love lasts!
